Without the right skills and knowledge, such encounters can turn dangerous or tragic very fast for both people and wildlife.

The rangers’ achievement in this year’s event underscores their passion and dedication to safeguarding and protecting our natural resources. As we congratulate and celebrate this very well-deserved recognition, we invite you to stand in solidarity with them by supporting this very important work. In collaboration with our friends at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens (CZBG) we have launched a fundraising campaign aimed at providing essential resources for them.

The area is still home to the majority of Kenya’s Maasai. Yet, today it is a threatened landscape, confronting a growing population, a culture in transition and land use changes that threaten critical habitats.
