Description

In Maa, Lale'enok means 'place where information is brought and shared'. Lale'enok is a community based research and information centre. It engages local and international researchers as well as local community members. Providing a base for all research in the region, the strong link between research, community interests and humanwildlife coexistence has caught the attention of biological expeditions (National Geographic) and university groups (Smithsonian Research Institute). New ideas for the centre continue to emerge out of growing links between researchers and the community
